I believe this love was gifted to me from my Mom who read aloud to me nightly enchanting books filled with tales of majestic horses and fearless cowboys, and took me on countless visits to the local pony ride at the park near our home.
Growing up, I was fortunate to have a unique education experience as I was homeschooled. This allowed me the incredible opportunity during my high school years to live and work on a bustling cattle ranch in the breathtaking landscapes of North Eastern New Mexico. It was here that I fell in love with the captivating lifestyle, the awe-inspiring beauty, and the remarkable artistry that is deeply intertwined with the world of cowboying.
During my time on the ranch I had the privilege of learning from my mentor, Rick Walt, natural horsemanship techniques, stockmanship, and how to be a cowboy. It was under his guidance that I discovered the art of tying rope halters. The skills he imparted to me have stayed with me throughout the years, and as time went on, people began approaching me, requesting custom halters of their own. The joy I find in creating a functional and practical product is immeasurable.
As my journey progressed, I felt inspired to explore new avenues of craftsmanship. That’s when I delved into the world of leather craft.
